Walk — University of MN

Passed the Weisman Art Museum ...

to the Washington Ave SE bridge...

And down the long, long, long walk across the bridge.

Yet Look!  How else would anyone know that the Cribbage Club exists if not for this wonderful walkway?  HA!

An intriguing plea for help etched into the plasti-glass.   Does make me wonder if it's a physical or psychological plea.

The "Best Party On Campus"?  Really?!   Have the U of MN parties gotten that lame?   LOL!

"Gingers and Friends" with a tag-line "Admire while you can!!"   This begs the question:  If only 2% of the worlds population are Gingers, and the "Occupy" movement says that only 1% of the population are the "Wealthy", what percent of that 1% are Gingers?

To the wonderful tree of old, used shoes.

and around the way to where the campus meets up with Seven Corners.

Walk — U of M Campus

Along Washington Ave SE.  Past what is soon to be one of the few remaining post offices left in America.    Stopping in to view the Coffman Memorial Union.

While this deck/courtyard is nice, this fountain is ... unusual.

So, from the looks of it, it is two winged monkeys spitting water onto two dragons ...  The dragons are also spitting water onto themselves ...

and then the water drains down from these ... um ... danglers just at the base below where the dragons are locking their feet.

Fountain aside, the view from this deck was pretty dang amazing.   The University of Minnesota campus has never ceased to amaze me at how much beautiful space they offer for the student to be able to relax and hang out.

And, as a bit of humor, my cohort on this walk pointed out the humor (pun intended) of this window decal—Type face: Comic Sands—found in the University Bookstore located in the basement of this building.
